Description
The details of the brickwork and metalwork of one of the Tampa Bay Hotel minarets show the intricate workmanship required to produce these beautiful architectural features.
The Tampa Bay Hotel is now home to the museum as well as the University of Tampa. The hotel, finished in 1891, was built as a destination for the railroad and steamships of Henry Bradley Plant's empire to attract the famous and wealthy of the Gilded Age. It is now a U. S. National Historic Landmark.
