St Sophia, a Greek Orthodox Christian Church in Miami, has several chandeliers hanging from vaulted ceilings, along with many gold trimmed arches which create smooth curved lines in every direction.
Note: This is a very high ISO image (ISO1250).
I've been a photographer most of my life, starting very young with a Kodak Instamatic camera. There were a few others over some years and in my mid-twenties a Canon EOS 630 (film camera) which I used extensively. Then I quit for a while. Can't say I know why, life happens. Some years ago I decided I would commit to what I knew had long been an important part of my life. It has been good in many ways, mostly because it lets me see the world around me as a place to enjoy and share. There is much that goes on around us that is negative and depressing, to say the least. It lifts my spirits to find other views that show there is much to be grateful for and much that others might find inspiring although they might never get the chance to see...

Thanks for the background Ed... Sometimes the stories behind the shots are as interesting as the photos themselves... Don't you just love those serendipitous moments...?
Ed Gleichman replied:
Brian, you're so right, it not only makes it more interesting but makes you feel welcomed at times. Thanks for the comment.

Beautiful Ed! Love the curves and lines - and great color... well done! Hand held huh?
Ed Gleichman replied:
Brian, yes hand held, was driving past this church I didn't know existed, Miami, which I know fairly well. Was taking shots outside when a priest, not sure, invited me inside to take pictures during a mass. Spent quite a while but tried very hard not to interupt in any way so had to stand back in the corners...high ISO but still pleased with the results. Thanks so much for your comment.
