Description
The Goddess of Liberty (possibly modeled after Greek Goddess Athena) stands atop the Texas State Capitol in Austin, Texas.
The Texas State Capitol was modeled after the national Capitol in Washington D. C. and is made of red granite quarried in Texas. Many of the architectural features of this beautiful building are visible in this image.
The Goddess, a replica made of aluminum to replace the original white bronze casting, holds a single star in one hand and a sword in the other.
