Description
The bronze Texas Ranger Statue, which sits on the grounds of the Texas State Capitol in Austin, represents one of Terry's Texas Rangers, volunteers of the 8th Texas Cavalry.
The Texas State Capitol was modeled after the national Capitol in Washington D. C. and is made of red granite quarried in Texas. Many of the architectural features of this beautiful building are visible in this image.
The Goddess statue at the top of the dome, a replica made of aluminum to replace the original white bronze casting, holds a single star in one hand and a sword in the other.
