Artist's Description

The Key West Custom House, built in 1891 and restored recently, is an example of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture. It houses the Key West Art & History Museum.

This view is the back as seen from the walkway along the Port of Key West. Custom House was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

There were a few others over some years and in my mid-twenties a Canon EOS 630 (film camera) which I used extensively. Then I quit for a while. Can't say I know why, life happens. Some years ago I decided I would commit to what I knew had long been an important part of my life. It has been good in many ways, mostly because it lets me see the world around me as a place to enjoy and share. There is much that goes on around us that is negative and depressing, to say the least. It lifts my spirits to find other views that show there is much to be grateful for and much that others might find inspiring although they might never get the chance to see...
